Role Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Director (Research) to lead investigations into emerging technologies such as Quantum, synthetic biotechnology, and new space. This role entails examining research and industry trends, assessing applications, norms, and geopolitical developments that influence technology advancement within the Defence Technology Community (DTC).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead research and scanning activities on frontier technologies and related strategic issues to support DTC technology development.
- Collaborate with thought leaders from government, industry, and academic institutions to gather and curate valuable insights.
- Oversee research evaluations and generate strategic recommendations for senior leadership regarding technology-related challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
- Proficient in English with the ability to author technology primers and articles to update and inform the DTC.
- Effective presentation skills to communicate research findings comprehensively in English.
Additional Information
The position is offered on a contract basis for a duration of two years. The role is onsite in Singapore.
