About the Human Systems Division
The Human Systems (HS) Division focuses on strengthening Singapore’s defence capabilities related to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defence, human factors engineering, and behavioural science. Role Overview: Senior Risk Modeller
- Conduct research and development of risk assessment methodologies addressing incidents in Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear sectors.
- Apply expertise in established risk analysis approaches including HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), event tree analysis, and probabilistic risk assessments.
- Engage in modelling efforts involving compartmental models and consequence assessments, supported by programming tasks.
- Handle hazardous materials within strictly regulated, safe laboratory settings, and acquire registration as a radiation worker.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in Chemical, Nuclear, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related disciplines; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in risk assessment techniques like HAZOP, event tree analysis, and probabilistic risk analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Javascript, or Go, alongside familiarity with Linux operating systems.
