About the Role

As an Asset Protection Representative with Loblaw Companies Limited, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure shopping atmosphere, actively preventing theft and fraud, and collaborating closely with law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional in-store presence to deter theft, fraud, and policy breaches.
• Confidently and lawfully detain offenders in line with company and legal guidelines.
• Lead thorough investigations, gather and analyze evidence, and coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Collaborate with store leaders to identify loss patterns and develop prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, security protocols, and provincial legal requirements.
• Adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment with a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related laws.
• Experience using CCTV systems, surveillance technology, and Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Exhibit an approachable demeanor combined with confidence and excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Prior retail experience in grocery, pharmacy, or similarly busy environments is advantageous.
