About the Role

As a valued member of our Asset Protection team, you'll play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for employees and customers while safeguarding company assets across high-traffic grocery and pharmacy locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a vigilant, professional presence on-site to actively deter theft, fraudulent activities, and policy breaches.
  • Confidently and lawfully detain individuals involved in stealing or violating company policies, adhering strictly to legal and organizational procedures.
  • Conduct thorough internal and external investigations, collecting and analyzing evidence; collaborate effectively with law enforcement authorities when necessary.
  • Work closely with store management to identify and address loss patterns, implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage.
  • Ensure operations align with corporate security policies, provincial regulations, and company standards.
  • Adapt swiftly to a fast-paced, changing environment with a flexible work schedule.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and comprehensive knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation.
  • Experience handling CCTV systems, surveillance technologies, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exhibit a respectful, approachable demeanor combined with excellent communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and initiative in problem-solving and operational duties.
  • Prior experience in grocery, pharmacy, or similar high-volume retail environments is advantageous.
