Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced enterprise AI applications using cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI. The role requires a combination of deep AI knowledge and strong software engineering skills, with a proven track record of delivering AI solutions from initial concept to full production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and launch robust Generative AI and LLM-based applications suitable for production environments.
• Construct and fine-tune RAG pipelines, including processes like document processing, content chunking, embedding generation, data retrieval, result reranking, and response formulation.
• Design and develop intelligent AI agents and workflows that can reason, invoke external tools, and interact seamlessly with enterprise software systems.
• Implement AI-driven functionalities such as enterprise search, question answering, summarization, document analytics, data extraction, and decision-making support.
• Integrate AI components with APIs, databases, document management systems, search platforms, and other enterprise applications.
• Develop reusable AI services and APIs to support various applications and use cases.
• Refine and optimize prompts, retrieval approaches, model choices, context management, latency, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain evaluation frameworks to assess AI accuracy, hallucination rates, retrieval effectiveness, task success, and overall performance.
• Establish security measures and guardrails to mitigate risks like prompt injection, data leaks, inappropriate tool usage, and other AI-related vulnerabilities.
• Oversee deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancement of AI systems in live production settings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 4 years professional experience in AI/ML engineering, software development, or related technical areas, with a focus on Generative AI in recent roles.
• Expert proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs, RAG techniques, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering processes.
• Knowledge and practical experience in building AI agents, function/tool invocation, and agentic workflow architectures.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or analogues.
• Experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, and deploying open-source or commercial LLM solutions.
• Strong backend development skills, including API design and enterprise system integration.
• Expertise in AI evaluation metrics, implementation of guardrails, LLM security considerations, and production-level monitoring.
• Experience working with AI cloud platforms.
• Preferred experience with OCR technologies, document intelligence, multimodal AI, and Arabic-language AI applications.
• Excellent software engineering capabilities, analytical problem-solving, effective communication, and technical leadership qualities.
