Job Summary

At Lidl Ireland, our mission is to provide an outstanding shopping experience from head office operations down to each store. Overseeing the efficient functioning and maximizing revenue for a cluster of Lidl stores is a significant responsibility, and we seek exceptional candidates for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly managing a district of stores, including leadership of all Store Managers within the area.
  • Maintaining a positive atmosphere and effective collaboration across stores in the district.
  • Coaching and supporting Store Managers to improve performance and skills.
  • Analyzing and improving stock flow throughout your district.
  • Conducting store visits alongside the Sales Operations Director.
  • Performing regular cash management audits at district stores.
  • Supporting special projects by providing analysis and constructive feedback.
  • Overseeing store refurbishments, as well as new openings and re-openings.
  • Formulating and rolling out annual business plans for the district.
  • Planning key performance indicators (KPIs) and staffing structures for the stores.
  • Implementing company strategies within your district.
  • Participating in Area Manager meetings and contributing to strategic discussions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession or expectation of a minimum 2.1 degree in any field, or alternatively at least three years of management experience.
  • Excellent skills in communication, organization, planning, and analysis.
  • Valid full driving license.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including motivation, flexibility, strong work ethic, and good organization.
  • Experience in fast-paced retail environments.
  • Proven capability to inspire and lead teams effectively.
  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in retail management.
  • Prior experience managing multiple sites as an Area Manager is desirable.
