About the Role

We are recruiting a seasoned Design Architect to join a reputable architectural design firm in Dubai, UAE. This full-time position involves creating architectural solutions across various project phases, ranging from initial concepts and schematic designs to detailed designs and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts and design proposals aligned with project goals, client specifications, and design targets.
• Create architectural plans and drawings including elevations, sections, details, and presentation materials throughout all design stages.
• Formulate design solutions emphasizing functionality, visual appeal, sustainability, cost-efficiency, and constructability.
• Collaborate with structural, MEP, and other engineering specialists to ensure coordinated architectural designs.
• Engage closely with project managers, engineers, expert consultants, and clients during the design lifecycle.
• Incorporate feedback from clients, regulatory authorities, and interdisciplinary design teams into designs.
• Ensure all architectural work complies with relevant UAE building regulations, codes, and authority criteria.
• Prepare comprehensive design presentations, select material palettes, and develop documentation for client and authority review.
• Review and supervise architectural outputs from junior architects and CAD/BIM staff, providing mentorship and technical direction.
• Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and interdepartmental coordination sessions.
• Assist in resolving design challenges and technical issues throughout project progression.
• Maintain quality standards, scope adherence, and timely delivery of architectural deliverables.
• Coordinate with BIM/CAD teams to guarantee precise and uniform architectural documentation.
• Stay up to date with current industry trends, innovative materials, technologies, and sustainable design methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Between 5 to over 10 years of professional experience in architecture, ideally within engineering and architectural consultancy firms.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale architectural projects.
• Comprehensive experience across all design stages: concept, schematic, detailed, and tender/construction documentation.
• Thorough knowledge of architectural design principles, construction processes, and building systems.
• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, notably structural and MEP consultants.
• Good understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and permit procurement procedures.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM technologies.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently within a multidisciplinary consultancy context.
• Prior consultancy experience in the UAE market is mandatory.
