Role Overview and Responsibilities

We are inviting applications from experienced architects located in or willing to relocate to Townsville. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with valued clients while contributing to PSC's ongoing success and design legacy.

• Develop creative and practical design solutions aligned with client briefs and budgets.
• Define project objectives and timelines to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Lead and manage project teams where appropriate, ensuring thorough documentation throughout phases and strict compliance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant standards.
• Coordinate and oversee consultant contributions and documentation effectively.
• Manage contract administration for both conventional and innovative project types.
• Adhere to and promote company policies, procedures, and operational systems.
• Monitor project progress with an eye towards program planning, team collaboration, and profitability.
• Maintain consistent monthly project invoicing.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients and consultants to support business development.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification.
• Registration with the Board of Architects of Queensland.
• Moderate experience within the architectural industry.
• Strong grasp of design principles and the architectural design process.
• Proficient design and project management capabilities.
• Advanced skills in interpreting and developing client briefs accurately.
• Comprehensive knowledge of documentation standards and construction methodologies.
• Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to interpret consultant documentation precisely.
• High proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD software.
• Reliable and professional with a strong sense of integrity.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and consultants.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in sensitive matters.
• Focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Moderate supervisory experience with abilities to lead and mentor team members.
• Skilled in problem solving and adept at handling conflicts diplomatically.
• Positive attitude towards adopting company policies and contributing to workplace morale.
