The Buildings Unit, part of Mott MacDonald's broader business, is present across the UK and mainland Europe. It provides extensive cross-sector expertise across five core sectors: Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation, and Water, offering local and technical leadership services.

We invite applications for the position of Architect/Senior Architect within our expanding architecture team. Based in several UK locations including Birmingham, Belfast, Sheffield, Bristol, and Cambridge, this role involves handling a diverse project portfolio encompassing various building types. Our client base spans the UK, Ireland, Europe, and globally, covering all phases of the project lifecycle. This role offers a substantial long-term engagement with a chance to advance your career while coordinating across engineering disciplines and independently managing projects.

Candidate Requirements

• A recognized degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture.
• Relevant experience gained within an Architectural Practice or similar setting in the UK.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects collaboratively within a team and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Post Part 3 qualification with ARB registration as an essential criterion.
• Experience with Defence or Transport sector buildings is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proven post-qualification architectural experience.
• Capability to deliver projects based on design and technical expertise.
• Experience adhering to project timelines and delivery responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• Strong interest and up-to-date knowledge in Architecture and the Built Environment, including relevant building legislation, Building Regulations, and British Standards.
• Willingness and ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently.

Additional Information

Relocation support is not provided; however, internal applicants are encouraged. Offers will require appropriate Security Clearance.
