The Buildings Unit operates from Mott MacDonald's UK and European regional offices, delivering diverse expertise across the Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation, and Water sectors. It also offers local services and technical leadership within these sectors.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Architect or Senior Architect to join our expanding architecture team within the Buildings and Cities unit. The team manages projects through all RIBA stages and undertakes a variety of building typologies serving clients in Ireland, the UK, Europe, and globally. The role involves managing projects independently, collaborating across disciplines, and contributing to a diverse project portfolio.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds a degree or equivalent qualification in architecture, has experience working within an architectural practice or similar UK environment, and has experience leading projects collaboratively. Candidates should be creative and detail-oriented with strong technical knowledge, confident in project management, and able to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Architect with Post-Part 3 and ARB registration.
• Experience in Defence or Transport building projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrable post-qualification work experience.
• Proven ability to deliver projects combining design and technical expertise.
• Experience managing project delivery within deadlines.
• Proficiency with Revit software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
• A strong passion for Architecture and the Built Environment, with awareness of current building legislation including Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions
