Architect

Role Overview

The Architect will be responsible for crafting architectural designs, preparing precise technical drawings, and overseeing projects from initial concept through to final completion. This position requires close collaboration with clients, engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to deliver designs that are not only functional and safe but also of high quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Create architectural concepts, develop layouts, plans, elevations, and detailed drawings.
• Transform client needs and project goals into practical and effective design solutions.
• Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of architectural drawings, specifications, technical documents, and schedules.
• Coordinate design efforts across structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure integration.
• Perform site visits, surveys, inspections, and conduct design assessments to validate project requirements.
• Evaluate and approve shop drawings, material submissions, product samples, and construction details.
• Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulatory standards, and safety directives in all designs.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities throughout project phases.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, technical challenges, defects, and recommend modifications where necessary.
• Monitor construction activities to guarantee alignment with approved architectural designs.
• Manage responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), technical inquiries, change requests, and issues encountered on site.
• Assist in obtaining authority approvals, permits, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Prepare design presentations, progress reports, and inspection documentation.
• Support value engineering initiatives and promote cost-efficient design solutions.
• Maintain high standards of design quality, functionality, visual aesthetics, and compliance with project objectives.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Have relevant experience within architectural design, construction, consultancy, or project development sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural principles, building materials, and detailed construction methods.
• Competent in preparing and interpreting technical drawings and construction documentation.
• Proficient using architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar tools.
• Familiar with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and local authority requirements.
• Understanding of interdisciplinary coordination involving structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines.
• Strong creative vision combined with technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail ensuring precision and accuracy in design outputs.
• Good communication, presentation abilities, and collaborative teamwork skills.
• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project documentation management tools.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.
