Role Overview

We are inviting applications for an experienced Registered Architect to join our Perth Studio on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves partnering with multidisciplinary teams to undertake design projects across Australia and New Zealand. Architects at MODE operate under Studio Directors' guidance, leading design, documentation, and construction efforts while mentoring junior architects and staff to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Key Skills and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture approved in Australia along with current registration as an Architect.
• Comprehensive understanding of planning regulations, building legislation, and construction standards at local, state, and national levels.
• Relevant project experience in sectors such as Defence (with the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA security clearance), Education, Health, and Community (Local Authority Public Works) is highly desirable.
• Proven design and technical expertise spanning various project phases including conceptual design, design development, and construction documentation.
• Experience in project coordination with the capacity to manage multiple tasks adhering to agreed timelines, quality, and scope requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams, working effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM processes to support production of detailed and coordinated project documentation, with higher-level BIM expertise being advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual designs, detailed development designs and construction documentation for diverse project types.
• Coordinate sub-consultant activities, documentation, approvals, and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and workplace health and safety obligations.
• Assist studio operations by contributing to fee proposals, tender submissions, business development, team culture enhancement, BIM process improvements and mentoring junior staff.

Additional Information

• Applicants must have or be able to obtain an Australian AGSVA baseline security clearance; please declare any current or past baseline security clearances.
• Proof of eligibility to work in Australia is mandatory according to legal requirements.
