Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

As an Architect at SYSTRA, you will serve a crucial coordination function within project teams, assisting the Senior Architect in delivering multifaceted architectural projects. Your responsibilities include managing design interfaces, ensuring alignment across various disciplines (structural, MEP, civil, systems), and fostering effective communication among internal teams, clients, and external consultants. This position demands excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong grasp of architectural and engineering workflows.

• Assist the Senior Architect with daily coordination of design efforts and deliverables.
• Serve as the intermediate between the architecture group and other specialized disciplines to guarantee synchronized design packages.
• Monitor the status of design submissions, client feedback, and approvals to comply with project timelines.
• Review contributions from diverse disciplines before client submissions to ensure completeness and uniformity.
• Engage in coordination and technical meetings, recording vital decisions and tracking required follow-up actions.
• Support the preparation of client reports, presentations, and design review documentation.
• Manage comments tracking systems (e.g., DRS) and oversee architectural documentation control.
• Ensure that all design deliverables meet established project codes, standards, and local authority criteria.
• Keep meticulous records of architectural and interdisciplinary outputs.
• Identify and address coordination challenges at early stages through collaborative problem-solving.
• Maintain regular communication and reporting with Senior Architect and Project Manager.
• Contribute to upholding the quality and efficiency of all design submissions.
• Facilitate teamwork across different groups to ensure integrated project delivery.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Hold a minimum of eight years’ experience in architectural coordination or multidisciplinary project settings.
• Must have a valid Qatar MMUP Grade A certification in Architecture; proof required with application.
• Experienced in design and construction of major developments such as residential complexes, industrial buildings, and both interior and exterior architectural works.
• Well-versed in Qatar civil codes including QCS, Civil Defence, and NFPA standards.
• Capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams encompassing civil, MEP, and ICT disciplines.
• Proficient user of architectural software including BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools.
• Fluent in English with Arabic language skills considered an advantage.
