About the Role

Smith Scott Mullan, a well-established and award-winning employee-owned architectural firm in Edinburgh, is looking for a skilled and motivated Architect. Candidates must have at least five years of post Part 3 experience in architecture, ideally with a passion for residential projects, adaptive reuse of existing structures, and urban design.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will engage in a wide range of compelling projects spanning residential, master planning, civic, and conservation sectors. They will participate in all project phases within a collaborative, supportive setting.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least five years of practical architecture experience following Part 3 qualification.
  • Experience with residential architecture, working with existing buildings, urban design, and sustainable practices is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of Passive House principles, PHPP software, and Revit is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail coupled with ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A proactive, eager approach with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
