Job description
About the Role
Bobby Halliday Architects is seeking an experienced architect to join our intimate practice located in Bridge of Allan, Scotland. The opportunity involves taking meaningful charge of projects, engaging directly with clients and consultants, and contributing significantly to the firm as it expands.
Our practice specializes in bespoke homes and notable residential ventures situated across Scotland. We handle a select number of projects, remaining closely connected throughout each phase. The work commonly features challenging sites, planning restrictions, existing structures, and clients requiring substantial guidance to determine suitable construction solutions.
Responsibilities
The position demands leadership in various stages including planning, building warrants, technical design, tender processes, and construction oversight. Direct collaboration with clients and consultants is essential, as is proficient coordination of project information and an in-depth comprehension of building assembly to ensure superior design implementation in the completion phase.
Excellence in proactive problem-solving is critical; anticipating issues, researching solutions, and making judicious decisions to prevent complications are integral to the role. While prior familiarity with all aspects is not expected, sound judgment, curiosity, proactive initiative, and a strong learning aptitude are imperative.
Practice Environment
The practice intentionally remains small to focus on fewer projects, enabling experienced professionals to assume substantial responsibility over outcomes. This environment offers the prospective employee notable involvement and influence within project decision-making and a genuine chance to be a key member as the practice evolves.
