Key Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated physics problems equivalent to PhD qualifying exams that require detailed multi-step reasoning and mathematical derivations across areas including quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, classical mechanics, and thermodynamics.
• Create precise and comprehensive step-by-step solutions serving as authoritative references, ensuring accurate application of physical constants, units, and logical proof methodology.
• Critically assess AI-generated physics simulations, mathematical derivations, and proofs to identify inconsistencies or violations of fundamental physical laws.
• Provide expert feedback to enhance AI model reasoning, particularly regarding constraints like conservation laws, boundary conditions, and symmetry.

Who You Are

• Holder of a PhD (completed or near completion) in Applied Physics, Physics, Engineering Physics, or a closely related discipline.
• Comprehensive expertise in core physics areas: Classical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, and Quantum Mechanics.
• Exceptional communication skills to clearly articulate complex physical concepts and mathematical processes in structured English.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring correctness in units, scientific notation, and logical proof structures.
• Highly self-driven and dependable when working autonomously.
• No requirement for previous experience in AI or machine learning.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with data annotation, scientific dataset analysis, or quality assessment of research outputs.
• Familiarity with computational software such as MATLAB, COMSOL, Python libraries like NumPy or SciPy.
• Background in academic research publishing, technical writing, or teaching.
