Role Overview
We are in search of a commercially astute Regional Account Director (RAD) to oversee strategic Global Tech & Durable accounts primarily based in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. This role functions as the APAC regional lead, collaborating with Global Account Directors and local teams to accelerate revenue expansion, fortify senior client relationships, and ensure consistent account management throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Accelerate revenue growth across specified APAC countries by driving renewals, upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion.
- Uncover new opportunity spaces within NIQ's offerings, including RMS, Analytics, Consulting, NIQ Next, Digital, and Innovation services.
- Work jointly with Global Account Directors to craft and implement long-term account growth strategies.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of regional prospects with precise forecasting.
- Build executive-level relationships across APAC client HQs, country teams, and business units.
- Drive strategic business reviews, lead executive meetings, and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Position NIQ as a strategic business advisor beyond data provision.
- Coordinate account operations across multiple countries and functions for a unified client experience.
- Guide regional teams toward shared account goals and priorities translating strategic plans into achievable growth initiatives.
- Foster collaboration among Sales, Customer Success, Analytics, Marketing, and Product departments.
- Spot emerging trends and business challenges to create NIQ solution opportunities.
- Lead pursuit efforts for significant regional and multi-country contracts.
- Support contract renewal negotiations and competitive defense methods.
- Drive business expansion into new categories, divisions, and decision-making units.
- Exert influence across countries without direct reporting lines, encourage knowledge exchange, and mentor local teams in strategic account development.
- Contribute to organizational programs enhancing productivity, account coverage, and customer outcomes.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in sales, strategic account management, business development, consulting, market intelligence or related commercial domains.
- Proven success handling large-scale regional or global client accounts.
- Experience collaborating with multinational firms in technology, consumer electronics, durable goods, retail, or FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrable record of delivering revenue growth and navigating complex commercial negotiations.
- Acquainted with working across diverse APAC markets and cultural environments.
