Position Overview

The Aircraft Painter is integral to upholding superior quality standards and adhering to company procedures. The role involves preparing aircraft parts and surfaces for painting, executing this safely within set timelines while maintaining quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Mask, sand, and ready aircraft components for paint application processes.
• Apply glazes and sealant compounds in preparation for final paint finishes.
• Operate and service a variety of preparation and priming machinery.
• Mix paints and primers accurately for use.
• Execute leading-edge sealant work to final detail specifications.
• Abide by all safety protocols and maintain work environment cleanliness.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently.
• Maintain tools and shop equipment properly as assigned.
• Follow paint shop standard operating procedures diligently.
• Observe protocols for hazardous material disposal.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Successful completion of Pulmonary Function Test to achieve respirator certification.
• Proficiency with equipment, tools, and materials relevant to aircraft painting processes.
• Strong teamwork attitude, detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to quality and precision.
• Ability to comprehend instructions presented in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
• Minimum of two years of related experience; commercial or automotive refinishing background is acceptable.
• High School Diploma or GED credential required.
