Job description
Role Overview
As an Aircraft Mechanic specializing in cabin and light maintenance, you will be tasked with providing maintenance services to meet operational needs. Your work will comply with company and customer guidelines, adhering strictly to aircraft maintenance directives.
Primary Duties
- Conduct tests and inspections on aircraft components and systems to assess quality and functionality.
- Utilize hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment to adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems.
- Inspect engines and other parts for faults such as cracks, leaks, or breaks.
- Disassemble parts to examine them for wear, distortion, and other damages.
- Assemble and fit electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and structural components using both power and hand tools.
- Perform routine servicing, including cleaning, greasing of screens and moving parts, and brake inspections.
- Repair, substitute, or rebuild aircraft structures and components including wings, fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.
- Test engine and system operations, using specialized equipment and auditory evaluation to detect malfunctions.
- Handle engine removal and installation employing hoists or forklifts.
- Modify aircraft structures and systems following engineering drawings, orders, and technical manuals.
- Interpret aircraft maintenance manuals to determine repair methods and feasibility.
- Provide technical solutions for various line maintenance issues.
- Perform additional department-related duties as assigned by the department head.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with at least three years of relevant industry experience.
- Practical technical expertise in a similar aviation maintenance role.
- Familiar with heavy cabin and in-flight entertainment (IFE) maintenance concepts along with related skills applicable to the job.
- Ability to identify and perform necessary maintenance tasks on equipment effectively.
- Skilled in repairing machinery and systems with appropriate tool usage.
- Capable of operating and managing equipment and systems efficiently.
- Prepared to accept additional duties as needed.
- Effective communicator able to work within a multicultural environment.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
