Job description
Role Overview
The Licensed Engineer position oversees the proper upkeep and swift resolution of aircraft faults under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Maintenance-Rotary. The individual will also undertake designated flying tasks and supervise maintenance personnel to guarantee the safe and punctual dispatch of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the quality and allocation of maintenance work and resources.
- Keep the Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary informed about completed tasks and provide recommendations.
- Alert relevant parties to impending service interruptions.
- Set work priorities and optimize staff efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance documentation and certifications are accurately completed.
- Compile and submit detailed technical reports.
- Perform flying roles as the Operating Engineer.
- Conduct debriefings to clarify and log aircraft defects.
- Act as the Organization Representative onsite during subcontracted layovers.
- Implement special projects as needed.
- Provide support to the Senior Manager Maintenance-Rotary in executing their duties.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent apprenticeship, or hold a Part 66 License.
- Have a minimum of five years’ experience as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1, B2, or both).
- Hold a valid Helicopter Maintenance Engineering License.
- Possess extensive knowledge of helicopter aviation.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Capable of making clear and logical decisions under pressure.
- Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate ability to handle multiple priorities and perform effectively in demanding operational settings.
