About the Role

Join a leading global professional services firm in Auckland, New Zealand, contributing as a Data & AI Consultant. This role involves collaborating with business and technical teams to transform complex datasets into valuable insights and actionable solutions. You will participate in delivering data and analytics projects encompassing reporting, business intelligence, data transformation, and advanced analytics, while expanding your knowledge in modern Data & AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze various types of business, operational, and customer data to detect trends, uncover patterns, identify key impact factors, and find opportunities for enhancement.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visual data representations to facilitate monitoring of business performance and support decision-making processes.
  • Leverage SQL and Python for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and comprehensive analysis across multiple data sources.
  • Develop and optimize workflows for data transformation and integration spanning enterprise systems and cloud-based environments.
  • Communicate analytical results clearly and translate them into practical recommendations for stakeholders from both business and technical domains.
  • Design KPI reporting systems and performance measurement tools to increase transparency on business and operational success.
  • Contribute to predictive modeling, forecasting, and advanced analytics initiatives to enable evidence-based decision-making.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders—including business units, data teams, technical staff, and governance bodies—to gather requirements and deliver targeted data solutions.
  • Assist with maintaining data quality, mapping, governance practices, and access controls to ensure compliant and reliable data usage.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and automate existing reporting, analytic, and data-processing workflows.
  • Support project delivery tasks such as documentation, data analysis, quality testing, and engaging stakeholders effectively.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong capability in data analysis and interpretation, with proven experience in extracting relevant business insights from complex data sets.
  • Skilled in SQL and Python programming for data analysis, transformation, and related analytics tasks.
  • Experience in developing dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI and/or Tableau platforms.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with data cleansing, data transformation, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration techniques.
  • Proficiency in KPI reporting and performance analytics to support business intelligence objectives.
  • Ability to simplify complex data findings and convey them into accessible insights and actionable advice for diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaboration experience working alongside business teams and technical experts to translate requirements into functional data solutions.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms and contemporary data infrastructure environments.
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience in fields such as data analytics, insights, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.

Additional Preferable Skills

  • Experience in predictive modeling and advanced analytics methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar cloud data technologies.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems like Salesforce, Workday, or ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and access control policies.
  • Experience operating within large-scale or complex organizational environments.
  • Proven ability collaborating across multidisciplinary teams including data, engineering, product, and business units.
  • Knowledge of AI and data strategy integration and emerging AI technologies.
  • Application of analytics to support customer-focused, operational, or product-related business decision-making.

Additional Information

Location: Auckland, New Zealand

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary Range: NZD 100000 to 120000 per year
