Role Overview
We are looking to hire a meticulous AI Data Annotator specializing in transcription. This full-time position entails listening to audio files and reviewing or correcting transcripts in line with prescribed standards. The candidate must ensure that transcripts faithfully represent the spoken words, paying special attention to punctuation, capitalization, and contextual notations like fillers and backchannels. This role suits individuals who thrive in detailed, concentrated tasks within a quiet setting, offering the advantage of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen carefully to audio recordings to verify that transcripts accurately capture the spoken content.
- Amend any transcription inaccuracies, correcting omissions, extras, and ensuring perfect alignment with audio.
- Strictly adhere to detailed annotation protocols to maintain consistent high-quality outputs.
- Identify and flag unclear audio segments, ambiguous cases, or guidelines gaps for review.
- Work collaboratively with the team to refine annotation practices and uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in AI annotation, transcription, or comparable disciplines is mandatory.
- Strong command of English, with capabilities to understand and apply detailed guidelines and discern subtle language nuances.
- Possession of a dependable desktop or laptop computer; mobile devices are unsuitable for this task.
- Use of headphones within a quiet, distraction-free workspace to ensure focused transcription.
- Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to maintain consistency over large volumes of work.
