AI Software Engineer - Full Stack Developer (Java)

Overview

We are seeking an AI Software Engineer specializing in full stack development with Java expertise to join our team on-site in Doha, Qatar. This position centers on driving advanced AI-enabled software delivery by deploying innovative solutions, promoting Spec-Driven Development (SDD), and integrating agent-based AI capabilities alongside architects and engineering leaders. Your contributions will accelerate software productivity, uphold system reliability, and embed responsible AI practices into enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and integrate AI architectures, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), autonomous agents, and automation, within microservices and enterprise platforms.
• Develop and manage Spec-Driven Development templates and enforce governance mechanisms within delivery workflows.
• Create and maintain agentic AI use cases while establishing safeguards for ethical and responsible AI deployment.
• Deliver robust AI integrations leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval techniques, and embeddings within Java/Spring Boot environments.
• Ensure observability, version control, and continuous integration/delivery readiness for AI prompts, models, and specifications.
• Deploy and manage solutions on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Web Apps, following best practices to ensure stability and security.
• Support KPI monitoring related to AI-enabled delivery efforts, focusing on adoption, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing through developing playbooks, delivering training, and mentoring engineering teams.
• Implement rigorous security protocols, data handling standards, and responsible AI constraints in live deployments.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of five years of practical experience in Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and developing microservices.
• Strong proficiency with cloud-native architectures, relational databases (preferably Oracle/PLSQL), Kafka messaging systems, and Git-centric development workflows.
• One to two years or more of experience with production or enterprise pilot deployments of LLM-based solutions, RAG frameworks, or agentic AI systems.
• Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development principles and their associated governance.
• Experience implementing solutions using Azure cloud services, including AKS and Web Apps, and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab.
• Knowledge of LLM providers, prompt engineering methodologies, and evaluation/testing strategies for language models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across distributed global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating React.js for frontend UI development.
• Track record applying Spec-Driven Development in enterprise-level software projects.
• Expertise in implementing observability in AI workflows and conducting secure rollout procedures.
