Role Overview and Location
This position offers flexibility with a work-from-home setup or a hybrid option at our Dublin office in Glasnevin. Candidates must be residing full time in Ireland. Note that we do not provide work permits or visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-functional agile teams on the core product, Patholytix.
- Develop both on-premise components and cloud-based microservices integrating with modern cloud platforms.
- Design, implement, and test architectural enhancements and new product capabilities.
- Utilize container technologies and cloud infrastructure (compute, network, storage) for building, deploying, and running applications.
- Support ongoing product monitoring and resolve issues to ensure top-quality deliverables.
- Promote and establish best practices and development standards within the team.
- Engage in peer reviews promoting secure and high-quality software development.
- Work collaboratively with other internal teams to optimize existing products, services, and development tools.
- Leverage AI tools as part of the software development lifecycle, demonstrating familiarity with AI integration in development processes.
- Fulfill all required company-wide and role-specific compliance training including QMS, ISMS, GxP standards, DocuSign processes, and SDLC.
Candidate Profile and Required Expertise
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- At least 6 to 7 years of experience in backend development roles, preferably in regulated domains.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Deep experience with the Spring Framework: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud components (Gateway, Streams, Security/OAuth2, Spring Data).
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, using technologies such as Apache Kafka and distributed caching solutions like Hazelcast.
- Hands-on expertise in creating web services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
- Proficient with continuous integration and delivery systems, testing frameworks, and automated build tools.
- Experience with container orchestration and management using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services, MongoDB Atlas, Mongo Lucene, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Skaffold, and Helm.
- Familiarity with Claude Code and its BMAD method is advantageous.
- Programming experience with other languages including Python and JavaScript is beneficial.
- Prior work history in a regulated environment is preferred.
