About the Role and Opportunity
As AI technology advances rapidly, Insignia Financial seeks an AI Product Lead to join a freshly established AI Product team backed by significant executive support. This position plays a crucial role in scaling AI products and capabilities across the enterprise by shaping strategy, defining discovery and roadmap processes, influencing vendor partnerships, and overseeing delivery outcomes from beginning to end.
Unlike traditional product roles focusing on individual platforms, this leadership role involves connecting diverse AI opportunities across the organisation, driving investment decisions, and molding strategic AI product initiatives that impact one of Australia's largest financial services providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide product discovery efforts working closely with business stakeholders to identify problems, opportunities, and target outcomes.
- Develop and refine AI product strategies, roadmaps, and lifecycle management plans.
- Spot opportunities to build reusable AI capabilities applicable across multiple business challenges.
- Collaborate with product engineers and data scientists to assess potential AI solutions and set product directions.
- Establish product priorities, define success criteria, and organize release schedules.
- Evaluate whether AI solutions should be internally developed or sourced via vendors.
- Track the performance and value delivered by AI products post-launch.
- Integrate considerations of responsible AI use, privacy, governance, and operational needs throughout the product lifecycle.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven experience leading AI, Generative AI, machine learning, automation, or data-focused product development from ideation through launch and refinement.
- Strong fluency in AI technologies and genuine enthusiasm for emerging tech, with the ability to gauge feasibility and practical impact.
- Demonstrated ability to assess AI platforms and technologies and convert business complexities into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
- Skilled in aligning business challenges, user needs, and technological options into coherent product roadmaps and strategies.
- Familiarity with modern AI ecosystems, enterprise tech architecture, platform capabilities, and integration methods.
- Experience balancing innovative progress with governance policies, risk management, privacy concerns, and ethical AI practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across business, technical, and executive levels.
- Commercial acumen to identify scalable opportunities that unlock value across teams and business units.
