AI Enterprise Architect

Job Overview

The AI Enterprise Architect role at First Abu Dhabi Bank's AI Hub Innovation team entails designing, overseeing, and advancing the AI architecture for the Innovation Hub's solutions. This position ensures that AI architectures align closely with organizational strategy, business objectives, technology norms, and regulatory standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create architectural documentation including Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and Solution Architecture Designs (SAD).
• Establish and update enterprise-wide AI architecture that supports business aims while meeting technology and compliance criteria.
• Lead assessment, selection, and deployment of AI technologies, platforms, and tools across projects.
• Develop and enforce architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices specific to AI initiatives.
• Partner with business units, data teams, and tech groups to architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI solutions end-to-end.
• Supervise seamless integration of AI and machine learning models into operational systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
• Provide direction to architects, engineers, and data scientists concerning application strategies, model lifecycle handling, and MLOps methodologies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum five years in enterprise architecture with a substantial focus on AI, advanced analytics, or data within large-scale environments.
• Proven capabilities in building and executing enterprise-scale AI/ML platforms, frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the AI/ML lifecycle covering data engineering, model creation, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures, hybrid or multi-cloud approaches, and integrating AI into established enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and relevant compliance requirements, including GDPR and regional data protection laws.
• Skillful in translating business strategies into actionable AI architecture roadmaps and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, adept at influencing both technical teams and business leaders.
• Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines; certifications like TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, or AI/ML specializations are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in banking or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
