Key Responsibilities
- Strictly maintain confidentiality, as safeguarding customer privacy is paramount.
- Work with diverse data types including text, speech, images, and videos.
- Produce high-quality labeled data following guidelines and meet key performance indicators using internal tools and software.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Machine Learning data processes, showing skill in researching and crafting accurate, grammar-correct responses, ranking them, and annotating text, speech, image, and video data.
- Make logical judgments during tasks even when information is incomplete or ambiguous.
- Possess keen attention to detail and adapt quickly across different task categories.
- Support daily operational goals such as average handling time, quality, and turnaround time for various assigned tasks.
- Manage end-to-end data labeling processes with minimal dependence on instructions.
- Engage in root cause analysis to identify error trends and propose solutions to enhance labeling quality.
- Identify operational and procedural issues within standard operating procedures and tools, suggesting improvements to facilitate smoother operations.
- Demonstrate ownership by providing floor support and clarifying internal queries proactively.
A Typical Day
As an ML Data Associate, you will perform foundational labeling tasks including evaluating dialogues in speech, text, audio, and video data to improve Alexa’s everyday performance.
Your focus, multitasking ability, and meticulous attention to detail enable you to consistently deliver top-quality work while upholding strict confidentiality and adhering to Amazon's data security policies. You will collaborate within a diverse team united by the goal of advancing technology and AI applications. Creativity, individual motivation, and innovative thinking are highly valued.
About the Team
This role requires working in the office Monday through Friday. The team is dedicated to continuous improvement, delivering the best products possible, and participates in diverse meetings, training sessions, and company events throughout the year.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Experience in writing business strategy documents and plans.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese at C1 proficiency level (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Capability to comprehend and analyze complex business documents.
- Aptitude to follow detailed instructions across multiple projects.
- Experience conducting research and synthesizing information from various sources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.
- Familiarity with open-source research resources.
- Experience managing cross-departmental stakeholder relationships.
