Job Overview
The Agency Development Manager within the life insurance sector plays a critical role in recruiting, mentoring, and supervising insurance agents. The focus is on accelerating policy sales, accomplishing business objectives, and fostering high customer satisfaction levels, all while managing regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and retain new insurance advisors to strengthen the agent network.
- Establish a robust recruitment pipeline through referrals, networking events, and seminars.
- Deliver comprehensive training to agents on products, effective selling techniques, and compliance requirements.
- Continuously assess agent performance and offer constructive feedback.
- Support agents in improving prospecting methods and daily operational habits.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets set monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Ensure agents maintain high productivity and policy persistency.
- Drive efforts in cross-selling additional insurance products and managing policy renewals.
- Handle customer support, addressing queries and complaints promptly.
- Conduct meetings with clients to nurture loyalty and trust.
- Represent the insurance brand positively in all interactions.
- Ensure adherence to legal insurance standards and company policies.
- Keep accurate recruitment and activity records; prepare detailed performance and sales reports.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a sales team effectively.
- Extensive sales experience, preferably within BFSI, consumer durables, or telecommunications sectors.
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English and the local language.
- Strong networking aptitude to generate leads and facilitate agent recruitment.
- Knowledgeable about insurance regulations and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
- Between 2 to 10 years of sales experience, with preference for insurance-related roles.
- Age range typically between 24 and 40 years with a stable and successful career history.
