About the Role
The Sales Manager in the life insurance agency channel is tasked with leading recruitment, training, and management of insurance agents to boost policy sales and achieve business outcomes, while ensuring excellent customer experience and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and onboard insurance advisors by building a strong agent pipeline utilizing referrals, seminars, and networking.
- Train agents comprehensively on product details, sales strategies, and compliance standards; oversee their performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Set and consistently meet sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, focusing on agent productivity, policy persistency, and renewals.
- Manage customer relationships by addressing queries and complaints, holding meetings to cultivate loyalty, and representing the brand positively.
- Ensure strict compliance with insurance regulations and company policies, maintain accurate tracking of recruitment and agent activities, and prepare detailed sales and performance reports.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Leadership abilities essential for motivating and managing a team of insurance agents.
- Solid sales experience, preferably within BFSI, consumer durables, or telecom sectors.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and the local language.
- Strong networking proficiency to recruit agents and generate sales leads.
- Knowledgeable about insurance laws and compliance requirements.
- Educational qualification of Bachelor's degree or MBA in Marketing or Business Administration.
- Between 2 to 10 years of relevant sales experience, ideally in insurance.
- Candidate age typically ranges from 24 to 40 years with a stable employment record and documented performance success.
