Their in-house maintenance division, Guinness Property, handles repairs for 55,000 properties nationwide, delivering rapid-response repair, maintenance, and improvement services to maintain safe, quality homes.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Advanced Electrician to join our Repairs Team serving the Bristol, Bath, and surrounding areas. This is a full-time permanent position involving a 40-hour workweek. The role includes participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, for which additional payments are provided. Candidates must reside near Bristol or Bath to ensure timely access to residents and hold a full UK driving licence. A basic DBS check will be required and covered by the employer.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform domestic and commercial electrical work in line with certified qualifications and experience.
- Conduct electrical fixed wire testing, installation, and maintenance for systems up to 230v/415v.
- Complete all necessary certifications accurately, follow defined procedures, and maintain precise records of work performed.
- Interpret technical data, drawings, and instructions correctly to carry out tasks.
- Work effectively within a customer-focused environment, meeting agreed performance targets.
- Make independent decisions and solve problems while seeking advice when necessary.
- Carry out physically demanding tasks consistent with health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of health and safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Electrician qualifications with core technical competence such as C&G 2365 or equivalent.
- Recognized Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition) under IET EAS standards.
- Initial verification and inspection/testing qualifications like C&G 2391-52 or equivalent, recognized by IET EAS.
Proof of essential qualifications will be requested prior to interview.
