About the Role

Join the vibrant Activities team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, located in the picturesque Twin Waters area of Queensland. The resort, renowned for its lush gardens, lagoon-style pool, and family-friendly setting, offers over 370 guest rooms and a variety of entertaining activities specifically tailored for families and vacationers. The standout feature is the VIK (Very Important Kids) Club, providing children with fun, social, and memorable holiday events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and host engaging VIK Club programs, including games and family activities.
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable atmosphere for children and families on-site.
• Plan and facilitate diverse activities such as beach games, crafts, trivia, mini golf, and bike tours.
• Support water-based recreational activities while prioritizing guest safety at all times.
• Assist guests with hire equipment including kayaks, catamarans, and bicycles.
• Build positive relationships with guests to ensure memorable experiences during their stay.
• Contribute to the smooth functioning of the Activities team and maintain activity zones.
• Ensure all equipment and areas are clean, organized, and ready for guest use daily.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a lively, enthusiastic, and approachable personality.
• Have a genuine passion and commitment to working with children and their families.
• Comfortable engaging with guests across all age groups with confidence.
• Maintain a positive outlook and eagerness to participate in diverse resort activities.
• Past experience in childcare, recreation, education, camp supervision, entertainment, or hospitality sectors is highly valued.
• Capable of remaining active and working outdoors throughout the day.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children Blue Card.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are advantageous.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and school holiday periods.
