Job Overview
This role, based in Doha, Qatar at Westin Hotels & Resorts, entails verifying financial data for accuracy, organizing company records, and maintaining confidentiality of employee information. It blends accounting responsibilities such as analyzing computerized financial details, maintaining spreadsheets, and preparing reports, with human resources duties including managing employee records and coordinating staff events.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate financial figures, revenues, and documents to ensure data correctness, precise calculations, and correct coding.
- Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash, and equivalents per company policies and procedures.
- Record, store, retrieve, and analyze computerized financial data efficiently.
- Use computers to transmit information and documents.
- Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
- Classify, code, and summarize numeric and financial data to compile and maintain financial records through journals, ledgers, or computer systems.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute various reports and tables covering statistics, finance, accounting, auditing, and payroll.
- Complete closing procedures and reports at month or cycle end as required.
- Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue receipts, invoices, and accounting reports according to company guidelines.
- Manage job advertisements and selection documentation activities.
- Ensure precise maintenance of all employee records and files while safeguarding confidentiality and security.
- Coordinate employee celebrations regularly.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain professional personal appearance.
- Protect company assets and uphold privacy and safety of guests and coworkers.
- Address service needs professionally, positively, and promptly.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, respond timely to written and oral communications using appropriate etiquette.
- Handle physically moving objects weighing up to 4.5 kg without assistance.
- Foster positive working relationships, support team objectives, and respond appropriately to coworkers' concerns.
- Perform other reasonable work duties as requested.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No licenses or certifications necessary.
