Role Overview

The Braze ANZ Account Management team focuses on growing and retaining revenue from our existing customer base. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of established mid-market clients, acting as a strategic partner to deepen their engagement with Braze’s platform and identify opportunities for expansion. Achieving success means understanding your accounts thoroughly to detect areas where value growth can be enhanced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of mid-market ANZ customers with ownership of renewals, upsell, and cross-sell initiatives.
  • Effectively prioritize focus within your book to address the highest-impact growth or risk areas.
  • Build your own expansion pipeline by analyzing customer usage, identifying gaps, and assessing maturity levels.
  • Develop strong, multi-level relationships with marketing, CRM, and digital leadership across accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success teams to execute account plans and business reviews aligning Braze’s performance with client goals.
  • Create customized commercial proposals and lead negotiation processes for renewal and growth deals.
  • Spot early retention risks by monitoring adoption indicators, account health, and stakeholder changes.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly targets related to account expansion and retention.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts reflecting deal status, potential risks, and timelines.
  • Develop scalable and repeatable account management strategies applicable across your book.
  • Lead customer engagements both virtually and in person, including regular domestic and some international travel.

Candidate Profile

You should be a commercially savvy Account Manager with a successful track record of managing SaaS client portfolios, thriving in fast-paced environments by delivering measurable growth. Strong collaboration skills and effective communication with diverse stakeholders are essential.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Over 5 years of advancing experience in SaaS sales, account management, or related areas, demonstrating consistent revenue growth and retention achievements.
  • At least 3 years managing SaaS customer relationships end-to-end, accountable for renewals and upsells.
  • Experience handling portfolios with annual contract values ranging between 150,000 to 500,000.
  • Proven success in surpassing sales targets within high-growth, fast-moving sectors.
  • Ability to build trusted consultative relationships with senior marketing, CRM, and digital decision-makers.
  • Background in Martech, Adtech, or broader customer experience technologies is valued, including CRM systems, marketing automation, analytics, email or content marketing.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate across internal teams including Customer Success, Services, Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation, persuasion, and numerical fluency.
  • Strong organisational abilities with expertise in managing multiple priorities across a diverse client base.
  • Self-motivated, highly accountable, and commercially astute professional.
