Role Overview
The Accommodation Assistant is tasked with upholding consistent high-quality standards, particularly focusing on maintenance and hygiene across bedrooms, public areas, and linen management, ensuring rooms meet the company's 4-star criteria prior to guest use.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces according to set standards using approved cleaning products and equipment, while replenishing bathroom and bedroom supplies appropriately.
- Adhere to scheduled bed linen and towel changes following hotel guidelines.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of accommodation trolleys, caddies, and storage cupboards.
- Hand over any guest belongings found after check-out to the Accommodation Manager as lost property.
- Notify the Accommodation Manager promptly regarding necessary materials or equipment to support efficient staff operations.
- Optimize resource usage and maintain minimal operational costs.
- Report maintenance concerns promptly to supervisors or management.
- Coordinate with supervisors on room assignments, VIP guests, and special requirements, acting accordingly.
- Keep supervisors regularly informed about room statuses following inspections.
- Engage actively in training sessions, meetings, and personnel activities aimed at enhancing quality and performance.
- Implement the hotel's customer relations policies and communicate services effectively to guests.
- Handle guest complaints with courtesy and empathy, escalating issues to management as soon as possible.
- Adhere to punctuality by arriving at shifts on time, wearing a complete clean uniform and name badge.
- Maintain exemplary personal hygiene and grooming standards in line with company policy.
- Report daily 'Do Not Disturb' or 'No Service' statuses.
- Keep corridors free of debris at all times.
- Be accountable for key cards in possession.
- Report any accidents to the Manager on Duty without delay.
- Strictly comply with all Fire, Security, and Health and Safety regulations at all times.
