Job description
Role Overview
The Accommodation Assistant plays a vital role in upholding high standards in maintenance and hygiene, especially focused on bedrooms, public spaces, and linens to meet a 4-star company standard. This position ensures rooms are meticulously inspected and prepared before being handed back to reception.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in allocated rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using approved cleaning agents and tools, while ensuring adequate stocking and replenishment of bathroom and bedroom supplies.
- Change bed linens and towels according to the hotel's set schedules and standards.
- Keep accommodation trolleys, caddies, and storage areas orderly, clean, and adequately stocked.
- Report any guest belongings found to the Accommodation Manager as lost property.
- Notify the Accommodation Manager regarding material or equipment needs for staff efficiency.
- Optimize resource utilization to maintain low operational costs.
- Promptly report maintenance problems to supervisors or managers.
- Coordinate with supervisors on room assignments, VIP guests, and special accommodation requirements, acting on instructions received.
- Continually update supervisors on room status after inspections.
- Participate actively in trainings, meetings, and personnel exercises to enhance performance and standards.
- Adhere to the hotel's customer relations policies and communicate services effectively to guests.
- Handle customer complaints politely and promptly refer issues to management.
- Arrive punctually in full, clean uniform with a visible name badge for all duties.
- Maintain impeccable personal grooming and hygiene in line with company policies.
- Report daily Do Not Disturb (DND) and No Service statuses.
- Ensure corridors remain clear of debris at all times.
- Be responsible for all key cards assigned to you.
- Report any accidents immediately to the Manager on Duty.
- Comply consistently with fire, security, health, and safety protocols.
