1st Shift Porter/Janitor

Position Overview

Allegiance Industries, Inc., a leading facility services provider, is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of 1st Shift Porter/Janitor at a manufacturing site located in South Charleston, WV. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility with an opportunity for on-the-job training and career growth. The shift is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and hand mopping of building floors to ensure cleanliness.
• Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas properly.
• Clean, supply, and maintain restrooms and canteen areas.
• Accurately mix and apply cleaning chemicals as per provided guidelines.
• Relocate heavy equipment, furniture, or objects as required.
• Identify maintenance issues and report them for repair.
• Conduct specialized floor care tasks such as steam cleaning carpets, waxing, and buffing when needed.
• Execute other assigned duties supporting facility operations.

Required Qualifications

• Physical fitness and dexterity to perform manual cleaning tasks.
• Awareness of safety hazards with the capability to report them effectively to management.
• Dependable transportation to and from the workplace.
• Ability to adhere to scheduled hours and maintain punctuality.
• Capability to follow instructions and direction from supervisors.
