About the Role
We are seeking a reliable 1st Shift General Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in an educational facility located in Fork Union, VA. The position requires working Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors along with cleaning other surfaces.
- Collect and dispose of trash efficiently.
- Clean, supply, and service restroom facilities.
- Prepare cleaning agents by mixing them as per specifications.
- Relocate heavy equipment, furniture, or objects as needed.
- Identify and report repairs that may be necessary within the facility.
- Possibly perform floor care such as steam cleaning carpets, applying wax, or buffing floors.
- Execute any additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to recognize safety risks and communicate concerns to relevant personnel.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Follow established schedules and commitments reliably.
- Capable of adhering to directions from supervisors.
- Demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of work.
