Role Responsibilities

• Develop and apply innovative technologies and methodologies to efficiently manage tasks that deviate from project sequence.
• Support the Lead Engineer by overseeing quality control activities and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
• Assist project teams with documentation including proposals, cost estimates, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Manage process design and related modifications, ensuring adherence to budget and timeline constraints.
• Organize and actively participate in weekly meetings for process discipline, compile progress updates, and enforce necessary review protocols.
• Analyze technical challenges, propose alternative solutions with pros and cons, and provide recommendations via formal project communications such as technical queries and deviations.
• Prepare comprehensive final documentation complete with all pertinent information and pursue approval from clients.
• Review project documentation to guide colleagues and validate work completed by direct team members.
• Assess emerging technological advancements against current design standards for possible integration and cost-effectiveness improvements.
• Identify and evaluate new technological developments that could lower facility costs.
• Provide discipline-specific engineering services including scope change identification and reporting, conducting studies and analyses, preparing detailed designs, specifications, calculation reports, and assisting during procurement, construction, and commissioning stages.
• Maintain quality assurance by adhering to established system guidelines.
• Uphold personal and workplace safety by following occupational health and safety regulations and promoting environmental awareness.

Industry Experience

• Proven expertise in process design for both onshore and offshore oil and gas projects within brownfield settings, with an emphasis on rotating equipment.
• Comprehensive experience in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering phases.
• Background in multidisciplinary engineering consultancy environments is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Mandatory accreditation by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME); candidates without this must commit to obtaining it during the probation period.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or pursuing it is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Experience with simulation software including Aspen suite, Hysys, Pipesys, FlareNet.
• Use of PRO-II process simulation tool.
• Flow assurance capabilities using PipeNet, Pipesim, PVTSim/OLGA, PipePhase, TLNET, and Fathom.
