Group and Division Overview
With over 40 years in semiconductor process control, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG) delivers metrology and inspection products critical to expediting mass production of advanced devices. The Surfscan group specializes in technology that aids wafer, IC, and equipment manufacturers in process tool development, qualification, and monitoring. Our flagship Surfscan platforms include SPx systems targeting wafer surface and defect inspection, enhancing identification of manufacturing defects or irregularities early in the fabrication cycle.
Role Description
The Image Sensor Development Engineer will drive the advancement of next-generation image sensors aligned with the product division's roadmap. Key duties encompass:
- Conducting thorough characterization and design activities of image sensors to optimize device function and meet product specifications.
- Collaborating on the integration of image sensors with camera electronics for cohesive and efficient system functionality.
- Carrying out detailed system testing and validation procedures to ensure quality and dependability during development phases.
- Supporting technology transfer initiatives to operations teams, facilitating effective scaling and manufacturing readiness.
- Applying expert knowledge and practical experience in FPGA technologies for prototyping, system integration, and real-time processing of image sensor systems.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree holders are eligible with no required prior experience.
- Applicants with a Master's degree should have at least three years of relevant experience.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must present a minimum of five years of related work experience.
