About the internship
Overview
We invite native Santali speakers to join an exciting short-term project focused on Conversational Speech Transcription. This internship runs for about 1 to 1.5 months with the possibility of extension and offers a unique chance to contribute to preserving and developing the Santali language while gaining skills in transcription, proofreading, and linguistic quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely convert spoken Santali audio recordings into clear, natural, and grammatically correct written text following established transcription protocols.
- Carefully review and edit transcripts to detect and amend spelling mistakes, omitted words, misunderstood audio, and incorrectly captured phrases.
- Uphold transcript quality by ensuring consistency, readability, and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily productivity goals and complete tasks within the scheduled timelines.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility
This opportunity is best suited for individuals who are native Santali speakers with proficient reading, writing, and listening abilities in the language. Compensation and Benefits
