About the internship
Internship Overview
We are inviting native Assamese speakers to engage in a short-term internship focused on conversational speech transcription for around 1 to 1.5 months. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to projects aimed at advancing the Assamese language while gaining practical skills in transcription, linguistic quality, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert spoken Assamese audio into precise, grammatically correct, and clear written transcripts, abiding by the project's guidelines.
- Proofread and review transcripts meticulously to correct spelling mistakes, omitted words, misheard content, and erroneous interpretations.
- Ensure consistent accuracy and quality throughout all transcription tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily productivity goals and adhere to deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluency in Assamese language including reading, speaking, and listening skills.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain transcription accuracy.
- Reliable internet connectivity for remote work.
- Possession of a personal laptop or desktop computer.
- Use of good quality headphones or earphones.
- Previous experience in transcription or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
Eligibility Criteria
