About the internship
Internship Overview
We are seeking native Gujarati speakers for a brief Conversational Speech Transcription project lasting about 1 to 1.5 months. This role offers an excellent opportunity to aid a Gujarati language initiative while enhancing your skills in transcription, quality assurance, and linguistic accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert spoken Gujarati audio into text that is accurate, clear, and grammatically sound, adhering strictly to project instructions.
- Review transcripts to identify and correct any spelling mistakes, omissions, misheard segments, or misinterpretations.
- Maintain high consistency and quality standards throughout the transcription process.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals and complete tasks within deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent Gujarati speaker with strong reading, writing, and listening abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient with tools like MS Word, MS Excel, Google Workspace, and Google Sheets.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently from home.
- Access to a reliable internet connection, a laptop/desktop, and good quality headphones or earphones.
- Previous transcription experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
