About the internship
Internship Overview
ESSI Integrated Technologies, a pioneering leader in security system integration since 2003, offers an immersive Electronics Engineering internship based in New Delhi. The company specializes in securing critical infrastructure such as government institutions, power stations, military sites, and airports through cutting-edge security solutions like CCTV, access control, perimeter security, and more.
This role involves validating AI-generated product shortlists for government security tenders by verifying technical compliance, preparing bills of materials, collecting quotations and authorization letters, and collaborating with engineers to finalize bids. The internship is conducted onsite at Mercantile House, KG Marg, New Delhi, from Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze technical specifications and bill of quantities for security tenders, translating them into clear, verifiable requirements.
- Evaluate AI-suggested product matches against manufacturer datasheets to confirm compliance or identify deviations, citing supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update the product and OEM library by adding missing datasheets, certificates, and local-content declarations.
- Formulate technical pre-bid queries addressing restrictive or manufacturer-biased specifications.
- Construct comprehensive bills of materials including often-overlooked components like mounting hardware, cabling, licenses, storage, and warranty details.
- Solicit quotations from OEMs and distributors; perform detailed BOQ comparisons and acquire tender-specific authorization letters.
- Prepare technical compliance sheets and solution summaries collaboratively with engineering teams for each bid.
- Log outcomes of bids, including awarded products, prices, and any technical rejections.
- Provide early alerts to leadership about potential risks threatening project deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Final-year students or recent graduates in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, IT, or related diploma programs.
- Strong attention to detail in reading and interpreting specifications; capable of critically assessing datasheets and overriding software suggestions when necessary.
- Experience or familiarity with GeM, CPPP, CCTV, networking, or access control technologies is highly beneficial.
- Ability and willingness to work full-time onsite at the KG Marg office, Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, for a six-month duration.
- Women returning to the workforce and fresh graduates looking for career opportunities are encouraged to apply.
- Use of AI tools for assistance is permitted but requires transparency regarding their usage.
Compensation and Progression
This position offers a monthly stipend between ₹20,000 to ₹22,000 during the six-month internship. Successful interns will be eligible for full-time employment with an annual salary ranging from ₹360,000 to ₹400,000. Additional benefits include certification, letters of recommendation, and a job offer upon satisfactory completion.
