About the Role
This position is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee authorized to use McDonald's branding and products, but separate from McDonald's USA, which has no control over employment decisions. The franchisee independently manages hiring, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
The General Manager is tasked with operating a profitable restaurant while ensuring it meets McDonald's high standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Setting goals with leadership and creating actionable plans to meet these objectives are central to the role. The General Manager heads a team of Department Managers, coaching and overseeing progress to enhance each department and overall restaurant performance. Recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure strong leadership continuity is also expected.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Previous experience as a General Manager, particularly in high-volume quick service restaurants, is preferred. Backgrounds in hospitality or retail are also relevant. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to hold a management role at corporate McDonald's restaurants.
