Primary Responsibilities
- Clearing, washing, drying, and detailing equipment using tools such as pressure washers and vacuums alongside cleaning agents.
- Ensuring the equipment yard and wash bay area is tidy and well-maintained.
- Supporting drivers in loading and unloading machinery.
- Operating forklifts and various other construction-related machinery.
- Inspecting returned equipment for damage, reporting issues, and completing relevant service documentation.
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with refueling, tire management, and relocating equipment as necessary.
- Maintaining clear communication with team members and supervisors to facilitate smooth operations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class G/5 driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, allowing no more than 3 demerit points, and able to provide a current driver’s abstract upon request.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift weights up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Experience or certification in forklift operation and familiarity operating construction machinery is advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors through all seasons and conditions.
- Readiness to work overtime when necessary.
- Mechanical skills and prior experience with equipment operation are beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and organizational skills.
- High adaptability and performance comfort in a fast-moving environment.
- Self-motivated, excellent customer service abilities, and thrives when working collaboratively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn about construction equipment and the rental sector.
- Competency with computers and technology for tasks such as inspections and inventory management.
