Workshop Engineer

Overview

Shuaa Steel seeks a skilled Workshop Engineer to oversee daily steel fabrication and manufacturing operations within our Saudi Arabian facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily fabrication and production tasks in the workshop environment.
• Examine and validate engineering and fabrication drawings prior to and during the production process.
• Organize, assign, and track activities among workshop personnel and technicians.
• Oversee key operations including cutting, forming, welding, assembly, and final finishing stages.
• Ensure all fabrication procedures adhere strictly to technical specifications, approved design drawings, and quality standards.
• Track production progress, efficiency, and adherence to delivery timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments.
• Manage material availability and equipment needs essential for production workflows.
• Compile and submit regular reports detailing production status and workshop performance metrics.
• Maintain stringent compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of pertinent experience working in workshop or manufacturing settings.
• Proven background in steel fabrication and metal manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of cutting, forming, welding, and assembly techniques.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication schematics.
• Strong leadership capabilities for team supervision, planning, and problem resolution.
• Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
• Current residence within Saudi Arabia is required.
