Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Works Inspector specializing in landscape construction to oversee and scrutinize site activities. Your role ensures that landscape projects meet their deadlines, stay within budget, and adhere to strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of landscape construction operations to verify conformity with design plans, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Track and report the progress of work, identify obstacles or delays, and propose corrective measures to maintain project timelines.
• Assess materials and craftsmanship to ensure they satisfy quality benchmarks and specification requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections, including daily logs, safety assessments, and quality control documentation.
• Collaborate closely with construction teams to facilitate effective execution of landscaping tasks such as planting, irrigation, hardscaping, and outdoor amenity installation.
• Oversee site safety protocols to guarantee all personnel follow safety guidelines and reduce hazards related to landscape works.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure timely procurement and delivery of necessary materials and services.
• Support testing and commissioning phases to confirm landscape components meet functional and quality standards prior to project handover.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent discipline from a recognized institution.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in inspecting landscape construction for major infrastructure projects such as parks, urban developments, and recreational facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of landscape construction codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and specialized inspection reporting software.
• Fluent English communication abilities, both written and verbal.

Preferred Competencies

• Strong proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability to dynamic work environments.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to accurately evaluate construction work for compliance.
• Ability to juggle multiple inspection responsibilities effectively.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and regional codes, notably within the Middle East or GCC region.
• Experience with AutoCAD and other landscape design tools is advantageous.
• Capacity to perform efficiently under pressure managing concurrent projects.
