Windows System Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Windows System Administrator to join Müller's Solutions in Riyadh. This position involves managing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the Windows server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and be responsible for maintaining server hardware, software, and networking components. Collaboration with IT teams to guarantee optimal system performance and reliability, along with providing user technical support, is integral to this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, maintain, and monitor the performance and availability of Windows servers.
• Install and set up Windows operating systems and applications, ensuring timely updates and patches.
• Diagnose and fix server-related technical problems including hardware and software faults.
• Implement backup systems and disaster recovery plans to secure data integrity.
• Administer user accounts, access permissions, and security configurations within Active Directory.
• Apply and manage security protocols like firewalls and antivirus solutions to protect server environments.
• Create and update comprehensive documentation for system configurations and operational procedures.
• Support system migration, updating, and deployment initiatives effectively.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
• Between 3 to 6 years experience in Windows system administration or equivalent roles.
• Proficient with Windows Server versions 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and directory service management.
• Desirable familiarity with virtualization platforms (such as VMware or Hyper-V) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Strong capability in troubleshooting hardware and software issues swiftly.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate system records.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

• Experience automating tasks using PowerShell scripting.
• Understanding of essential network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server database management and application server contexts.
• Excellent communication skills for effective end-user support.
• Proactive approach towards system monitoring and continuous improvement.
