SAP ABAP Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Consultant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to design, develop, and customize SAP ABAP applications tailored to our business needs. This role demands collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring efficient and error-free SAP system enhancements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, customize, and develop SAP ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements aligned to organizational workflows.
• Work closely with functional departments to understand business processes and transform them into technical specifications.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of existing ABAP programs.
• Carry out unit tests and assist integration testing phases to guarantee quality deliverables.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation on technical designs, configurations, and development activities.
• Provide timely production support by rectifying ABAP-related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP enhancements and best practices in ABAP development.
• Contribute to project planning and estimation when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• At least three years of practical experience with SAP ABAP development.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming including ABAP Objects, modules, and BAPIs.
• Hands-on experience creating reports with SAP Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.
• Familiarity with SAP functional modules such as SD, MM, and FI/CO is considered advantageous.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and capability to collaborate within team environments.
• Possession of SAP ABAP development certification is a desirable plus.
