Role Summary
As a Hardware Engineer focused on Wet Process, you will be responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems including circuits, mechanical systems, test systems, and packaging. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge products and meet performance standards is essential.
Key Duties
- Implement cost reduction strategies by eliminating unnecessary expenses and seeking alternative sources while enhancing operational processes through innovative approaches.
- Lead quality investigations and continuous improvement efforts to resolve persistent process and quality challenges, ensuring product excellence and process stability.
- Strictly enforce online controls and adherence to work instructions and procedures with hands-on involvement.
- Mentor and train engineers and technicians in process knowledge, problem-solving techniques, and analytical methods to build technical skills and promote independence.
- Take full ownership of responsibilities with a strong commitment to teamwork and accountability.
- Manage non-conformance issues effectively and ensure proper resolution.
- Develop, review, and update critical process documentation such as FMEA, OCAP, process controls, risk assessments, and SIPOC regularly to maintain robust manufacturing processes.
- Maintain compliance with corporate social responsibility, environmental health and safety policies, quality management standards, electrostatic discharge protocols, 5S methodology, and cleanroom procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum four years of experience in wafer process engineering and/or equipment maintenance.
- Background in high-volume electronics component production within multinational corporations or semiconductor industries.
- Hands-on expertise in Wet Process including Wet Etch, Wet Resist Strip/Lift Off (single wafer lift off), and Wafer Cleaning processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of wafer fabrication manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical proficiency in semiconductor Wet Process equipment and procedures such as SSEC-Lift Off, Resist Strip, Wet Etch, and High Pressure Cleaning.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills coupled with solid interpersonal capabilities.
- Excellent skills in systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Effective application of quality management and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools.
- Dynamic, creative, innovative, resourceful, and self-motivated attitude.
- Analytical mindset capable of identifying root causes, multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
